In illustrated guide to getting started with the single newsletter

When you have followed the 2 previous guides ("Getting started" and "Getting started (Compiled newsletters)") and you have confirmed that it all works, it is time to move on to the "Single Newsletter"

A "single newsletter" is a sort of global newsletter for the site. That means that when you have selected "single newsletter" it will be the only newsletter from the site. Subsribers can not select individual categories or sections.

  • Select the categories and/or sections that should be included in the newsletter. Selecting a section instead of all of it's subcategories will affect the sort order but the content that will be sent is the same.

Select categories 

  • Check the checkbox "Single Newsletter" and select a compilation time. Type a name to be shown at the frontend. Type a frontend description. HTML is allowed in this field.

  • The compilation title will be the title shown in the mail. In the compilation introtext you can add text that will be shown in every mail. Select a sort order for the single newsletter. Here you can see why it matters if you check a section or all of it's subcategories.

  • Sending the newsletter from the frontend is similar to that of the compiled newsletter seen in the previous guide.
